We can provide a transfer quote from Larnaca on request but it is not included in the package cost.įlights should be into Paphos and are available through British Airways, EasyJet, Ryan Air and other low-cost airlines. The transfer time is approx 1hr 40mins each way and we suggest that you hire a car as taxi costs are likely to be much higher than hire car costs. Our packages are based on land arrangements for the full 4-Day Challenge, starting from arrival at Paphos Airport and returning to Paphos Airport for a minimum of 3-nights on arrivals between Monday 20th November and Wednesday 22nd November and departures from Monday November 27th to Wednesday 29th November, 2023. First you climb up through the Akamas Forest before descending to the coast where the second half of the race winds along with stunning views of the Mediterranean on one side and the hills of the Akamas National Park on the other.

Akamas Mixed-Terrain Half-Marathon on Saturday, which must be the one of most stunning half marathons in the world.11K Hill race on Friday, depending on access to the entrance of the Akamas National Park (it was blocked in 2022) this will either be a long steady trail climb from the coast up to the pretty church at the top of the hill at Pano Arodes, or an circular route starting in Pano Arodes with a 5K descent followed by a tough 6K climb.(This race may be shortened to a 5K for 2023 depending on the available course options.) It's a relatively short distance and a flat road course, but it is hard to judge the pace correctly when you set off every 10sec gaps in random order.

Paphos and Akamas Forest World Heritage site are beautiful locations for our annual 4-Day Challenge - an excellent mixture of traditional road running and spectacular trail running, which is widely regarded as one of the toughest and best organised multi-stage challenges around.
